Fast and Durable!
"This is a race / track ready 200tw that performs as well as it lasts. The tread design does not chunk, fall apart, and wear unevenly like most of its competitors. Grip comes on fast, great for maximizing pace in qualifying and time attack, also noticeably better traction on the street than other super 200tw tires."

"I was impressed and very satisfied with my first track day on these tires. They provided optimal grip within the first few corners and became stable after my first lap around the track. The tires maintained grip very well through out the entire session and left me very happy."

Almost too good to be true
"This tire is the gift that keep on giving - excellent grip levels, excellent wear characteristics, excellent feel, and an excellent price. Seriously, look no further - this is the answer we’ve been looking for."

Best choice of tire in
"Best choice of tire in the 200tw category. Longevity is unbeatable compared to RE-71RS & A052 and the camber wear is relatively even across the board. The price is honestly amazing as well."

Speed & Longevity For The Right Price
"Easily the standout tire from the other non cheater 200TW tires. This compound handles enduros and hot lapping with ease. While not as fast as your cheater 200TW tires, it easily out performs your "Enduro" 200TW like ECF or RS4. Keep up the great work Maxxis team"

Sprint/HPDE/TimeAttack in one ?
"The VR2 strikes a good balance of performance and price, while somehow managing to deliver more on the performance side than I had initially anticipated. The first time out on these I hit a PB, the next 3 sessions the performance slightly (and I mean by like ~. 5s) but that pace stayed there for at least a 15 min session. Second day on them, somehow it had a faster pace than previously by a 1s then the next few laps and sessions after it stayed at around ~. 5s off that PB, 6-7 laps in. tires still look newish. I dunno how much life i will get out of these, but from the wear I'm thinking ill get 5 or 6 more days on them. Excellent Tire and for the price is now my benchmark track day tire."

Amazing Tire in both Performance and Longevity
"I received free tires from Maxxis for long term testing. My feedback is below: At our shop Project Dream, we are always dedicated to finding the latest and best track tires for both our customers and for our own shop time attack car. Recently, we had the opportunity to test Maxxis' new VR-2 tire, and we were truly impressed by its performance and handling on the track. What surprised us the most was how well it held up over time, especially considering its high-performance capabilities. Despite the incredible grip and precision, the VR-2 shows remarkable longevity, particularly when it comes to camber wear. It’s rare to find a tire that delivers such a balance of performance and durability, and we’re excited to offer it to our customers."

Best in class with both Performance and Longevity
"I received free tires from Maxxis for long term testing. My feedback is below: At our shop Project Dream, we always aim to provide the very best products to our customers while also ensuring that our own time attack car is equipped with the latest and most high-performing parts. That’s why we’re constantly testing and evaluating new tires to see which ones offer the best combination of grip, performance, and durability. Recently, we had the chance to test the new Maxxis VR-2 tire, and the results were nothing short of impressive. From the moment we hit the track, we could feel the difference—its handling was precise, its grip was exceptional, and the tire gave us the confidence we need to push our car to its limits. The VR-2 performed remarkably well in various conditions, offering consistent traction and stability throughout our time on the track. What truly blew us away, however, was how well the tire held up over time. Typically, tires with such high-performance capabilities tend to wear down quickly, especially when subjected to the intense demands of track use. But the VR-2 proved to be an exception. Not only did it maintain its performance, but it also exhibited impressive longevity—far beyond what we expected from a tire designed for maximum performance. One of the most surprising aspects was its resistance to camber wear. For those of us who run aggressive camber angles for optimal track performance, camber wear is usually a major concern, as it can quickly lead to uneven wear and reduced tire life. However, the VR-2 showed remarkable resilience in this area, maintaining an even wear pattern despite the aggressive angles we were running. This makes it an excellent choice for those who need a tire that can handle track days without compromising on longevity. Overall, we couldn’t be more impressed with the Maxxis VR-2. It offers an incredible balance of high-performance characteristics and durability, and we’re excited to add it to our lineup for both our shop customers and our own time attack car. It's a rare combination of speed, performance, and lasting value that we are proud to stand behind."

Bang for buck SPEED!
"I received free tires from Maxxis for long term testing. My feedback is below: The Maxxis VR-2 is a very high performing track tire. They need a little bit of heat to get going but will give you its fastest laps around lap 3-5 and taper off to a very consistent pace laps 6-9. The wear is very good as well when pushed to the limits."
