My 7 year old son loves to skid when just riding around and not racing. His Vee racing tires didn’t hold up off the track. How durable are these?
The Torch is a lightweight race tire. For something more durable, we recommend the Hookworm.
do you think this would work on a mountain bike riding on the road
Yes, this will work great as an urban tire for your mountain bike. Please note that these tires require tubes and are not tubeless ready (TR). We do not have any Torch TR options available.
What is your tubeless tire for size 20?
Unfortunately, we currently do not manufacture tubeless (TR) tires in the 20-inch size.
Looking to put these on a mtb for commuting to work. Internal width is 29mm and they are hookless rims. Will these be alright to use with an inner tube?
Maxxis tires are only compatible with rims that follow ETRTO standards. Furthermore it is generally not recommended to run a non-TR tire on a hookless rim. For commuting on your MTB we would suggest the following assuming your rims are ETRTO compliant: 700X50C RAMBLER F60 DC SS/TR TB00172700 29X2.10 PACE F60 DC EXO/TR TB96764100 29X2.00 IKON F120 3CS/EXO/TR TB96646100
