Great on the front but no good on the rear
"Start with the obvious pros: Easy to mount, no levers required Seated tubeless perfectly as expected from a maxxis tire, held air over night without sealant Great front tire for most conditions except when it’s really muddy. Cornering grip on dry/damp grass and loose dirt is unbeatable. I have yet to find its grip limits. This is my go to front tire at this time! Not a suitable rear tire in all conditions. It is fine in conditions where you can’t corner full gas (wet conditions) but on fast dry grassy courses these are going to let you down. The tread has too much grip for the overall strength of the tire. Did 2 dry races with the All Terrane on the rear and had the same result. I was cornering full out on the limit off camber and the sidewall gave out and burped the tire, lost a significant amount of air and had to pit to change wheels. I am 142lbs so I put less sheer force on the tire then most. I ran 24psi in the 1st race and 27psi in the 2nd race did not make a difference. This has only happened to me a couple other times in all the races I have done using other tires (Challenge Chicanes and Griffos, Vittoria Terreno Dry, Mixed, Wet) To note I am a C2 level CX racer. In summary this is an amazing front tire but cannot be used on the as a rear tire in grippy conditions."
