The Maxxis Ardent is a light duty trail tire praised for its rolling speed in dry conditions. Customers appreciate its grip and performance, though some may consider the Rekon for better braking and cornering.

"I like it rolls good and is very capable at riding trails."
"these tires are great! perfect speed to grip ratio for the front on my bike, super stoked to put some miles on 'em."
"So sticky to the trails I ride in the redwoods and there's always wet trails I passed everyone"
"Great all around tire. Rolls reasonably well on pavement and outstanding for XC riding. Not a super aggressive rider, but I do guide long rides like the Kokopelli trail and it holds up very well, and has great traction. My favorite tire."
"The grip that Ardent has is very good in all conditions, even for driving on hard pack terrain conditions, the rolling resistance is very good. Very satisfied using these Maxxis Ardent tires from 2016 until now."
"Great looking tires! The Ardents also have great grip and really reduced the weight of the bike. It was a lot easier to ride the trail with more confidence on these tires."
"i have had the tyre for 2 years and their still in good condition"
"Great al around tire."
"This tire has a huge dead spot in traction between the center and side knobs that will cause you to wash your front end if you don't lay the bike over to dig the side knobs in. There are better tires in the lineup that fill this category, like the Rekon. The Ardent Race on the other hand is an excellent tire that's a lot like the Rekon with slightly less rolling resistance."
