"Great tires keeping me up and not laying the dirt! Always in the lead!"
"Amazing grip and durability. Perfect for the decomposed granite of front range Colorado and the rocks of Moab."
"I’ve been running Maxxis tires for a while now and they continue to deliver every time. The performance, grip, and durability are exactly what I need for racing and training. My recent order showed up quickly, packaged well, and the customer service was on point. Couldn’t be happier with the experience — 5 stars all the way. Highly recommend Maxxis to anyone who wants reliable tires that perform at the highest level."
"Here's a breakdown: Maxxis Desert IT * Type: Off-road motorcycle tire * Terrain: Desert, rocky, hardpack * Features: * Based on the popular Maxxcross IT tread pattern. * Special compound for increased durability in harsh conditions. * Reduced chipping and cutting. * Stiffer carcass for minimal flex and pinch flats. * Tall knobs for excellent traction in sand. Pros: * Exceptional traction: Grips well in sand, loose rock, and hardpack. * Durable: Holds up well to sharp rocks and abusive riding. * Long-lasting: Offers good tread life for a knobby tire. * Predictable handling: Provides a confident feel in varying terrain. Cons: * Not ideal for mud: The widely spaced knobs don't clear mud effectively. * Can feel squirmy on pavement: Knobby tires aren't known for their on-road prowess. Overall: The Maxxis Desert IT is a top performer for desert riding. If you're looking for a tire that can handle tough conditions and provide excellent traction, this is a great option. Rating: 4. 5/5 stars"
"I run the Desert 90/100/21 front , 85/90 mph on the road quite freqently, It does as good or better than Dot Knobbies. Offroad, it does better than Dot knobbie. Longevity, Dot knobbies look bad by 1700 or 1800 miles with much road use. This tire I have about 1300 miles, and its wearing very well , no chunking , its still looks to easily achieve that 1700/1800 mile range. I think it might actually come out better than a Dot Knobbie. Dot Knobbies like say a metzler karoo extreme or sedona 208sr, is extremely Hard all over, the maxxis has the stiff side walls, but softer in the center. I like the handling of the maxxis , even though the softer center, might not have some of the thorn protection, some of the Dot knobbie hard rubber compounds do. The metzler or sedona needs sub 10 psi pressures, to even have any flex or feel on a sub 300 lb bike. The Maxxis, at 14 psi is like a dot Knobbie around 8 psi. Yet handles better from my experience."
"Got 2 rides in so far out here in the low Arizona desert. I’m running the 90/100-21 desert IT up front and 120/90-19 desert IT in back on my 21 KX450. Both feel great and predictable in the loose rocky/sandy terrain."
