"I don’t know why I waited so long to try a shorty. Totally transformed my winter riding trail enjoyment."
"This tire has very good cornering grip even in the very loose hard pack desert. I don’t feel it being particularly slow rolling like the previous version. It is a good front tire for a trail bike. I have yet to try it in « good dirt » but I imagine that s where it excels"
"I love this tire in wet sloppy conditions but have found it’s a great rear tire for very steep trails. The braking traction feels like you’re throwing an ancor out behind you. Confidence with late braking in steep shoots massively improves with the shorty. I will most definitely be running it in the rear at the Jiminy Peak Eastern States Cup enduro."
"Amazing! Shocking how well these hookup in the mud."
"I love the Shorty! I’m running it front and rear on my Santa Cruz Bronson v4. In Pennsylvania‘s soft and often times wet rock and root covered trails I find the shorty gives me the most grip. Most of my friends swear by the Assegai. I’ve got that tire, but I feel like I can lean harder and really trust the grip of the Shorty."
"I love this tire for my slayer. I live somewhere it can be rainy one minute and sunny the next. So this tire keeps on moving even if it gets muddy, but still rolls pretty great!"
"I live on the East Coast and struggled to find a front tire that worked in the Fall when leaves start falling and trails stay damp. The Shorty has knobs tall enough and spaced the right distance apart to help get though the leaves and find traction. It rolls fine to me in these conditions and I did not have any complaints when I got to rocks and roots. This will be my only front tire October through March."
"I was running Assegai maxxgrip for 2 years. Amazing tire. Now i have Shorty maxxgrip for 2 monts and i am blown away by the versatility. From dry hardpack to wet and muddy. The biggest plus is the grip on wet rocks and roots, where to me is basicaly the same as Assegai has. I would also love the maxxtera DD version for the rear."
"Kicks ass in wet and muddy conditions!"
"Best for being featured on Sunday Saves!"
